H-F-L-Team: Scam or Real Home Business, How Do You Know?Copyright © Douglas Miller Hundred-Fold-Life
http://www.ClixGo.comWhen you start to look around at how you want to fund your Hundred-Fold-Life, you may consider a home-based business.
There can be a lot of confusion for people venturing into the work at home world. You may ask yourself how do you know the difference between a legitimate home business and a scam? It’s good that you’re thinking about it because work at home scams are out there can be very damaging. Many people have spent a lot of money, wasted a lot of time and invested a lot into these scams that, in the end, result in money, time and energy lost. Yes you can count me as one of those people.
The main point of confusion comes with the top work at home tip. Almost anywhere you go to inquire about working at home you will see this number one tip – Never pay to work at home. This is a great piece of advice, but when it comes to a home business it is not completely accurate.
There is a fine line between knowing if you are paying for a scam or paying for an opportunity. Many scammers have even caught on and have changed the way they operate, to make themselves look legitimate, which causes even more troubles. It used to be that if you received a product or sales kit for the investment that you could assume it is legitimate. Many times with a scam they will send something that they claim is a sales kit, so it makes it difficult to see the difference between a scam and something legitimate.
So how do you avoid a scam when you want to get into a home business? Well like most things it takes knowledge to keep you from being ripped-off. The following are two great tips that can help anyone avoid a scam and find a legitimate home business.
- Always check out the business. The Better Business Bureau is a good start, but you cannot always get all the information. Search online with the company’s name and the word scam and see what turns up. When people get scammed they want to let the world know, so there will be signs all over the Internet to tell if a company is a scam. Furthermore, if nobody has heard of the company or there is nothing that comes up online about them then that can also be a good sign they are not legitimate. So wait, don’t be the first.
- Know what you are investing in. You should know exactly what you are getting for your investment. It should be something that is valuable and well worth the investment. For example, you would not spend $100 as an investment for ten brochures. That doesn’t make sense and is a sign of a scam. Remember “to good to be true”, then it probably is.
These are simple things to do, but they are one way to ensure that a company is real and not a scam. Just by doing these two simple things you can avoid being ripped-off, and they don’t take much time. Usually scammers run the same old scam over and over. Why because they work, and with the Internet you can reach millions of people. You can help others out by alerting then to avoid scams. One of the great things about a home business and the online business environment – we can look out for one another, as we pursue our Hundred-Fold-Life.
