H-F-L Team: Hey Baby I have An Internet Domain.Copyright © Douglas Miller Hundred-Fold-Life
http://www.ClixGo.comI relatively new craze among new parents is to get their newborn bundles of joy their own domain name.
Why?
Many reasons are expressed. They want to establish their child’s digital identities. With the rate and change of the Internet, parents believe that in the near future say ten to twenty years’ people will need a digital identity. The identity will arise from school, sports and social organization to religious affiliation. This will create a record of fact to present to higher education intuitions employers and military careers and other professional pursuits.
Consider how today’s typical teenager use the Internet with Facebook and MySpace. It seems that each week I find another “social networking” site popping up on the net. Another great idea is a school yearbook in digital form. Remember your yearbook absolutely nothing in there about you, yet you did a bunch of stuff. Was that fair? In the near future will it be almost impossible to not to be on one for reasons stated earlier? As technology marches on will our kids be able to give schools, employers and friends an instant digital “business/resume’ card”, most likely from a cellular phone?
I strongly believe YES to both questions. This will be a way to meet and greet and keep in touch with old friends. As we develop relationships around the world we will be able to shrink the word and stay in touch with each other.
Back to the newborns. Parents want to be able to communicate every little thing in their babies’ lives. Just as our parents did. They went out and bought super eight movie cameras then those big honking VHS camcorders. Now parents can record juniors every milestone and send it to family a world away. Having a personal domain makes it kind of cool.
Some personal sites also have Baby Blogs, so friends and family can post and respond back. Uncle Joe in Montpelier can reply back to aunt Judy in Scranton that the best cure for diaper rash is not Peanut butter.
What’s this all cost?
Not a lot when you add up all the baby stuff that you have to buy along with everything else that you don’t.
You can buy a domain name for about nine dollars from
www.GoDaddy.com
and hosting for under thirty-five a year.

I found two sites that focus on baby’s digital services. They are
www.TotSites.com and www.Baby-Homepages.net. I can assure you many more are on the way.
Many of us parents are working from home, making a living online, to achieve that Hundred-Fold-Life especially moms “you go mom”. Why not include our kids in instilling that entrepreneurial sprit from an early age?
The future is here so being responsible moms and dads we will want to teach our kids Internet safety from an early age. We are well aware of the myriad of predators lurking on the net. We will want it to be normal that we as parents are surfing the net with them, and including each other in our digital lives.
